WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL VISIT PASS ?

The Visit Pass (Professional) is issued to foreigners who wish to enter Malaysia for the purpose of engaging in short term contract with any agencies.

The categories of person eligible to enter on a Visit Pass (Professional) are :

  • Artiste - Singer, dancer, musician, actor or circus performer
  • Filming
  • Researcher recognized by Government of Malaysia
  • Member of an International Organization or Volunteer
  • Invited lecturers or speakers
  • Religious Purposes - Imam and Islamic scholar, Christian missionaries, Sikh priest, Indian priest, temple musician and temple sculptures
  • Expert in installation or maintenance of machine or computer
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A PROFESSIONAL VISIT PASS ?

The intended foreign applicant of a Visit Pass (Professional) must be outside Malaysia at the time of application.

The applicant is allowed to enter only after the pass is approved.

The application must be submitted by local sponsor to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

  • Form IMM. 47 (2 copies) - if relevant
  • Photograph measuring 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
  • Photostat Passport/Travel Document
  • Security Bond duly stamped
  • HIF 62 & 63 (for Sabah and Sarawak)
  • Statement from Income Tax Department
  • Contract duly stamped
  • Letter of undertaking by agent duly stamped
  • Letter from the Embassy and Malaysian Foreign Affairs for Government matters
  • Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Home Affairs (if any)
  • List names of Artiest/Crew
  • Letter from Film Censor Board (for filming)
  • Letter of recommendation from Finas (for filming)
  • Shooting schedule (for filming)
  • Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Culture, Arts & Tourism
  • Researcher recognized by Government of Malaysia


    Member of an International Organization / Volunteer


    Invited Lectures / Speakers

    • Covering Letter
    • Form IMM. 12 (2 copies)
    • Form IMM. 47 (2 copies) - if relevant
    • Photograph measuring 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
    • Photograph Passport / Travel document
    • Security Bond duly stamped

    • Statement from Income Tax Department
    • Letter from the Embassies and Letter of support from relevant Government agencies
  • Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Home Affairs (if any)

    Indian Priest, temple musician and temple sculptures

    • List of names of committee members of the organization
    • Photostat copy Identity Card of Committee members
  • Letter of recommendation from relevant agency i.e. Pusat Islam for Islamic activities, Persatuan Hindu Sangam for Hindu activities and Majlis Gurdwana Malaysia for Sikh activities.
  • Expert in installation or maintenance of machine/computer
