WHY WE NEED TO KNOW THE LAW ?Ignorance of the law by a person who commits an offence is not an excuse for committing the offence. Everyone should know the law. This can prevent problems before they become lawsuits. The law stipulates that one should stop when the light turns red. Law is very much embedded in culture. Law happens not only in courtrooms but as part of the larger culture - our daily activities.Becoming more aware of our common sense can also shape our understanding of life and law.
