WHAT IS A VISIT PASS ?

A Visit Pass is a document which may be issued by the immigration officer to any person other than a prohibited immigrant who satisfies the immigration officer that he or she wishes to enter Malaysia

  • on a social business or professional visit or

  • for temporary employment or

  • as a tourist or

  • as the dependent child accompanying or joining the holder of a Work Pass in Sabah.
CAN A VISIT PASS HOLDER ENGAGE IN EMPLOYMENT IN MALAYSIA ?

If you are being issued a Visit Pass as a tourist or for the purpose of social visit or as the dependant child of the holder of a Work Pass you are not permitted to

  • engage in any form of paid employment, or in any business or professional occupation

  • give political lectures, speeches, talks or engage in any political activity,

in Malaysia during the validity of such pass, without the consent in writing of the Ministry.
