HOW LONG CAN A VISIT PASS HOLDER REMAIN IN MALAYSIA ?

A Visit Pass entitles the holder to enter Malaysia within the period and conditions stated in the pass and to remain in Malaysia no exceeding

  • in case of Pass for dependant child of holder of a Work Pass the duration of the Work Pass or

  • in any other case a period of 12 months.
CAN I APPLY FOR A VISIT PASS AFTER I ARRIVED IN MALAYSIA ?

Depending on the Visit Pass you are applying for, you should apply for a Visit Pass prior to your embarkation to Malaysia, unless where you are

  • ordinarily resident in the Rhio Archipelago, Sumatra or Brunei and

  • traveling to Malaysia on a direct journey from a port or place in any of the territories and

  • in possession of a valid passport which permits your return to your place of embarkation.

Where you are required to apply for a Visit Pass prior to your embarkation to Malaysia, your application for a Visit Pass may be made by you or a person in Malaysia on your behalf.
