HOW CAN A MALAYSIAN CITIZEN APPLY FOR HIS FOREIGN WIFE TO ACCOMPANY AND REMAIN WITH HIM IN MALAYSIA ?

The wife of a Malaysian citizen may enter on a Visit Pass (Tourist or Social).

Application for extension shall be made thereafter.

Where visa is required, application for Reference Visa must be made prior to entry.

Application for extension of the Visit Pass (Tourist or Social) shall be submitted to the State Immigration Department of Malaysia together with the following supporting documents :

  • Form IMM. 55 (2 copies)
  • Form IMM. 38 (2 copies, if any)
  • 1 photostat copy of Passport or travel document of wife (all pages)
  • 1 photostat copy of the identity card of the husband
  • 1 photostat copy of the husband's citizenship certificate (if any)
  • 1 photostat copy of the marriage certificate or marriage registration certificate
  • Letter of declaration of marriage certified by the Commissioner of Oaths
  • 2 photographs of the husband and wife measuring 3.5cm x 5.0cm
  • Wedding or family photograph
  • Wedding invitation card (if any)
  • 1 photostat copy of divorce certificate (if divorce before)
  • Security Bond
HOW CAN A HOLDER OF WORK PASS APPLY FOR HIS CHILDREN TO ACCOMPANY AND REMAIN WITH HIM IN MALAYSIA ?

Application for a Visit Pass (Dependant Child Accompanying Holder Of Work Pass In Sabah) has to be submitted to Visa, Pass and Permit Division of the Immigration Department of Malaysia through the local sponsor such as the employer together with the application for Work Pass.

Where visa is required, application for Reference Visa must be made prior to entry.

The following supporting document must be submitted with the application :

  • Form IMM. 12 (2 copies)
  • 2 photographs measuring 3.5cm x 5.0cm
  • Proof of family relationship
  • 1 photostat copy of Passport or travel document
  • Children's birth certificate
  • Proof of Work Pass
