However, the travel is only restricted to ASEAN countries. This document is valid for 9 months from the date of issue and valid only for a single journey. WHAT IS AN INTERNAL TRAVEL DOCUMENT ?There is a restriction on West Malaysian citizen's right of entry into East Malaysian State. West Malaysian citizen shall not be entitled to enter an East Malaysian State without having obtained a pass. An internal travel document or restricted travel document is a document issue to citizens of West Malaysia for the purpose of traveling between Sabah or Sarawak or any other part of Malaysia.
