DOES MALAYSIA OFFER SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR SENIOR CITIZENS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES TO STAY IN MALAYSIA ON A LONG TERM BASIS ?Yes. There is the Silver Hair Programme. Under the Silver Hair Programme, senior citizens, pensioners along with spouses from all over the world are welcome to stay in Malaysia on a long term year-to-year basis for 5 years initially and followed by an extension of stay for another year-to-year basis for the next subsequent 5 years. However, this program is not a pre-condition to a permanent resident status eligibility and is not provided to citizens of Israel and Yugoslavia. The Silver Hair Programme is the only program Malaysia offers to foreigners which requires financial qualification.
