HOW CAN I REGISTER MY CHILD AS A MALAYSIAN CITIZEN ?Any person under the age of 21 years may be registered as a citizen provided at least 1 parent, either the father or mother was a Malaysian citizen at the time of birth. Application shall be made by either parent. Where the Malaysian citizen parents are dead, application can be made by guardian. Application have to be in Form B which can be obtained from the counter of Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara or Registration Department of Malaysia. Application in Form B must be accompanied by the following documents :
Application shall be delivered personally by the applicant to the National Registration Office. Applicant will be required to sign the application in the presence of a Registrar of Citizens. Once the application is approved, you'll have to pay a fee of RM$100.00 for the issue of a certificate of citizenship. | ||||||
